Lucy Bierer is a senior research analyst at Government Business Council, where she writes about the impact of workforce and technology issues on the defense and intelligence community, as well as federal, state, and local government. Her research is driven by an enduring interest in finding stories within numbers, and translating those insights into strategies that better address citizen needs. Previously, Lucy lived in Colombia and worked for Suyo, a local startup that helps low-income families secure their property rights. She holds a bachelor's degree in Peace, War, and Defense, with concentrations in Arabic and Electronic Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
