GovExec Daily: The Incoming Administration's Federal Workforce Priorities

Eric Katz joins the podcast to discuss the Biden team's potential plans for the civil service.

In contrast to outgoing President Donald Trump, president-elect Joe Biden has repeatedly praised the government workforce and often mentioned the civil service as key in solving problems like the novel coronavirus crisis that is currently ravaging the United States.  Biden’s predecessor has left the civil service in a state that Biden has said he will “rebuild,” but that is no easy task. The Biden transition team has indicated that it will work to rebuild public confidence in the federal workforce and vice versa.

Eric Katz is a reporter at GovExec.com and he wrote a story on the workforce priorities for the incoming Biden administration. He joined GovExec Daily to discuss Biden team’s emphases when they come into office in January.
