Play of the Day: The President's Canceled Meeting With the Taliban

Donald Trump announced on Twitter that he decided against meeting with the terrorist organization.

Another Democratic presidential debate is scheduled for this week, wih 10 candidates set to appear on Thursday. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the event, saying 10 people "talking over each other all on ABC. It's like The View on steroids."

President Donald Trump announced on Twitter over the weekend that he had planned to bring Taliban leaders to Camp David for peace negotiations, but canceled the meeting. In one tweet, he asked "What kind of people would kill so many in order to seemingly strengthen their bargaining position?" prompting Late Show's Stephen Colbert to note that the Taliban are the kind of people who would do that. Jimmy Kimmel joked that Trump inviting the Taliban to Camp David just days before the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks is like inviting al-Qaeda to Six Flags, while Late Late Show's James Corden joked that the talks broke down because "no one in the Taliban plays golf."
