Former Vice President –and 2020 hopeful – Joe Biden said on Tuesday that he will cure cancer if he is elected president. Conan O'Brien joked about the news, saying that President Donald Trump quickly said he was on the side of cancer, while Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked that Biden should cure cancer now because people "might vote for a candidate who promises to cure cancer, but they would definitely vote for the guy who's done it."
A new Quinnipiac poll has Trump losing to Biden and six other Democrats in a head-to-head matchup for the 2020 election. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, saying "right now, he's even losing to the Thai women's soccer team." Colbert joked that Trump being behind South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg is like "a heavyweight champ losing being knocked out by your cousin who knows karate," while Fallon warned of early polls, saying "just ask President Hillary Clinton" about the accuracy of any poll.
