Play of the Day: Talking About the Caravan

President Trump is naming operations and talking about who is coming to the U.S. border.

The midterms are Tuesday and Barack Obama spoke in Florida about "hope and unity" in Florida in advance of the elections. Saturday Night Live's Colin Jost joked about the news, saying that "Hope" in Florida is just "the name of a stripper who took bath salts and bit off her neighbor's face."

President Donald Trump spoke last week about a group of Central Americans traveling to the U.S. border and called it an "invasion and implied that the caravan included men who were coming for American women, prompting Last Week Tonight's John Oliver to say that trump's speech was so racist that it should've gone to black and white while he spoke. Jost joked about Trump sending thousands of troops to the border and calling it "Operation Faithful Patriot," by saying that the name sounds like a company that sells reverse mortgages and catheter, while Oliver looked at a political ad about the caravan and noted that it should've just included "everything Republicans hate," including a 30-foot Nancy Pelosi and "black Santa."
