Play of the Day: Alexander Hamilton, Andrew Jackson and Paper Currency

The man with his face on the $20 despised paper money, yet he's staying and the first Secretary of the Treasury is going.

The shooting in South Carolina last week sparked more debate on the use of the Confederate flag at government building in states of the former Confederacy. HBO's late-night television hosts over the weekend stood firmly against the flag, with Last Week Tonight's John Oliver joking about the nature of its meaning and Real Time's Bill Maher suggesting Southerners -- and Southern politicians -- aren't smart enough to comprehend said meaning.

On a lighter note, with Treasury's announcement of changes to paper money last week, Oliver noted the irony of Andrew Jackson staying on the $20 bill. Jackson himself didn't trust paper money, while Alexander Hamilton embraced a national mint, so leaving Jackson on American paper currency is akin to, as Oliver says, putting Guy Fieri's visage on health food.
