Nationwide protests against police violence against Black Americans have erupted over the last few weeks, with demonstrators calling for massive changes in the way policing is done in the United States. One possible change is one that’s been attempted before: a database or registry or clearinghouse of police misconduct.

Route Fifty’s Kate Queram spoke to experts on the fits and starts of trying to implement such a change and she joined GovExec Daily to talk about a national registry of police misconduct.
