TSA Choir Serenades Holiday Travelers

Amidst all the fuss over full-body scans, enhanced patdowns and ticked-off travelers, some Transportation Security Administration officers are trying to lighten the mood at Los Angeles International Airport.

USA Today reports that the LAX TSA Choir, a group of 17 singers and musicians, has been "surprising passengers with performances of holiday music and other tunes in the midst of one of the nation's busiest airports."

The choir members are volunteers who practice in their off-hours. And they don't just perform around this time of year. They also sing patriotic songs on federal holidays.

Austin, Texas has contingent of TSA officers who have formed a choir, too.
