GovExec Daily: The Future of Federal Workforce Priorities and Protections

GovExec's Erich Wagner speaks to NTEU's Tony Reardon on the podcast about the federal employees and the future.

The labor moment in the U.S. has been in the news lately for entirely different reasons that it had been before the pandemic. In the private sector, technology and new media unions have held votes or become part of the landscape and in the public sector, the Trump administration’s policies are being thrown out by the Biden administration. President Biden himself has spoken in favor of labor rights and has celebrated the federal workforce as part of his campaign and early presidency.

As part of Government Executive Media Group’s Future of Work event recently, GovExec Senior correspondent and frequent GovExec daily guest Erich Wagner interviewed Tony Reardon, who is National President, National Treasury Employees Union, about the priorities of the federal workforce in the post-pandemic world and the state of civil service labor unions in the Biden era.
