The political and social divides in the United States are deep and can affect relationships with family, friends and coworkers. In an election year that has been marked by a pandemic and calls for racial justice, how can people bridge these deep divides between those they may not share values.

Dr. Tania Israel is a professor of counseling psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and the author of the book Beyond Your Bubble: How to Connect Across the Political Divide. She joined the program to discuss how to have meaningful dialogue with those who may see the world through a very different lens.
