Many cabinet-level agencies are operating under acting directors as nominees wait to get hearings in the Senate. This week, Office of Management and Budget nominee Neera Tandens faced Senate committees for her hearings, where was grilled about her views on policy, budgeting and leadership. During the hearings, Tanden pledged to ensure efficiency and transparency at OMB if she is confirmed.
