Play of the Day: The Court Fights Over the National Emergency

A group of states are suing the Trump administration, including Hawaii.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders announced on Tuesday that he is running for president in 2020, giving late-night hosts ample fodder for jokes. The septuagenarian Sanders got dinged for his age a lot, including The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon saying that Sanders isn't running for president, but rather "slowly wandering for president," while Late Show's Stephen Colbert nicknamed him "Grey Guevara" and Late Late Show's James Corden joked that Sanders' campaign slogan should be "Bernie 2020: Get Off My Lawn."

A group of 16 states is suing the Trump administration over the national emergency declaration from last week. Corden joked about Hawaii being part of the suit, saying "How long is Trump planning to make this wall?"  Fallon joked about the news, saying that Trump is countersuing some states, including suing Hawaii for "putting pineapple on a pizza and acting like it's normal" and suing Colorado for "giving Utah and Wyoming a contact high.""
