Play of the Day: Trump Signs The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement
The American president took far longer to write his name than his Mexican or Canadian counterparts.
President Donald Trump explained reports of his working on a 2016 real estate deal in Moscow as "legal & very cool" last week on Twitter. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news on Monday night, saying it's a bad scene when "the president explains himself like a stoner who just got pulled over coming home from Burning Man."
Trump was in Argentina for the G20 summit over the weekend and participated in a trade agreement signing ceremony with Mexico's Enrique Peña Pieto and Canada's Justin Trudeau. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about Trudeau's facial expressions during a press conference, saying it was the closest the famously polite Canadians get to a middle finger. Jimmy Kimmel joked about Trump taking a long time to sign the agreement with his Sharpie, saying "it's like he's coloring it in" instead of signing his name.
