The NSA surveillance program continues to be a popular topic on late-night television. The Tonight Show ’s Jay Leno wondered in his monologue if the program really works if it can’t clear up the details of the Miley Cyrus/Liam Hemsworth romance. The Late Show ’s David Letterman put up the recent viral photo of American President Barack Obama meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G8 meeting last week and joked “They have nothing to say to one another because they’ve been bugging each other’s phones.”

On NBC’s Late Night , host Jimmy Fallon touched on the pun on the word “hit” in regards to the softball game between White House Staff and marijuana lobbyists. Leno and Jimmy Kimmel found humor in the revelations about drone surveillance on American citizens, as well.
