Washington State declared a state of emergency over the weekend and the federal government convened meetings of the newly-formed Coronavirus Task Force, headed by Vice President Mike Pence. As more people are confirmed to have the illness in the U.S., the federal, state and local governments are trying different tactics to keep the public informed and ready.
