Snow Falls in Washington, but Agencies Remain Open

Despite snow, employees expected to report to work on time.

Snow covered much of the Washington region Monday morning, and was expected to continue falling through the rush hour, but federal agencies remained open, with no option for employees to take unscheduled leave.

The official word from the Office of Personnel Management, as of 6:50 a.m.:

Federal agencies in the Washington, DC, area are OPEN. Employees are expected to report to their worksite or begin telework on time.
