Supreme Court: Smithsonian not an agency
The Supreme Court today rejected an appeal by an employee of the Smithsonian Institution who said her privacy were rights were violated, letting stand a lower-court ruling that the Smithsonian is not a federal agency and therefore need not comply with a privacy-protection law.
