AID chief hammered at Senate hearing
Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told Agency for International Development Administrator Brian Atwood at a Senate hearing yesterday that he has heard "appalling accounts of mismanagement and ineptitude in the administration of the agency's humanitarian, democracy, economic and environment programs." Atwood defended AID and pleaded with Senators not to cut the agency's budget.
