EPA CITES U.S. MINT FOR CLEAN AIR ACT VIOLATIONS-"The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced last week that it has cited the U.S. Treasury for Clean Air Act violations at the United States Mint in Philadelphia" (EPA news release).

CLINTON SEEKS MORE ARTS FUNDS-"President Clinton yesterday asked Capitol Hill lawmakers for a hefty increase in the fiscal 1999 budget for the National Endowment for the Arts -- a margin of $38 million that underscores the president's confidence in the embattled agency and allows opponents of the agency to whittle away and probably leave enough money to keep the program going" (The Washington Post).

STARR WARRIORS-"The first lady says they're part of a "vast right-wing conspiracy." Defense lawyers love to call them "bullies." Witnesses accuse them of playing dirty pool. Targets complain of harassment, even psychological torture. In the eyes of many prosecutors, they are an all-star team" (The Washington Post).
