THE RESULTS REPORT
Results Act Plans
Agencies turned in their strategic plans in 1997 in compliance with the Government Performance and Results Act. Congress and the Clinton administration expect managers to be aware of and supportive of those plans. Then, for the first time, agencies developed performance goals for fiscal 1999, tying performance objectives to budget requests.
GovExec.com set out across the Internet to find agencies' strategic and performance plans and create this directory for our readers. We've also added links to the General Accounting Office's evaluations of the plans. The layout of the performance plans vary by agency. Some have interwoven their performance goals into their 1999 budget requests, while others have created stand-alone documents. Some agencies have not yet posted their performance plans on the Web. Plans will be listed here as they become available.
