Making the Grade in Digital Government

Presented by Acquia Acquia's logo

In the two years since the Obama Administration launched the Digital Government Strategy, agencies have made significant strides to improve services through four major digital strategy areas: information-centric, shared platform, customer-centric, and security and privacy. Yet why do federal leaders still give an average C+ rating to their agency’s digital efforts?

Though digital services have already begun revolutionizing the way agencies deliver on their mission, fully realizing the benefits of digital could require a significant shift in how the federal government operates and views its technological assets. To help agencies move forward, the White House recently released the U.S. Digital Services Playbook, a best practices guide featuring recommendations from both the public and private sectors.

Research from a new survey from Government Business Council sheds light on the areas where federal leaders feel they are succeeding and where there’s more work to be done.

On December 11, join hosts Government Business Council and Acquia, for a special live viewcast where a panel of government and industry experts will discuss:

• How agencies are employing digital services to achieve cost savings and better serve customers

• Challenges to improving digital delivery

• Why open data initiatives, open source solutions, and agile acquisition methods should be part of a successful digital strategy

• How agencies can use the new Digital Services Playbook to design and implement effective and agile digital strategies
