Play of the Day: Don't Cough During the President's Camera Time

Presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg told HBO that "I would imagine we've probably had excellent presidents who were gay" in an interview over the weekend. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked that the never-married James Buchanan's portrait winked when it heard Buttigieg's quote.
ABC aired its "30 Hours" special over the weekend, featuring George Stephanopoulos spending two days with President Donald Trump. Trump got combative with Stephanopoulos, calling him a "little wise guy," prompting Late Show's Stephen Colbert to joke that Trump also called the diminutive newsman "tiny news leprechaun" and an "itty bitty Greek hobbit." At one point, Trump reset a question because Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney coughed during an answer, prompting Jimmy Kimmel to joke "you try breathing in a room where a man just went through four cans of hairspray." The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that Trump will have trouble debating Bernie Sanders if he can't handle the sound of coughing, while Meyers joked that Trump's health care plan is "if you cough, get the f--k out of here."
