Play of the Day: The World Series Champion Red Sox Visit The White House

Or maybe the "2018 World Cup Series Champions Boston Red Socks?"

President Donald Trump's son Donald Jr. was subpoenaed this week to appear before the Senate Intelligence Committee soon. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, saying that this was "the first time Don Jr. was picked for something before Ivanka."

The president hosted the Boston Red Sox at the White House on Thursday to celebrate the team's 2018 World Series championship. The White House, however, made a few mistakes in announcing and recapping the event, first by having "President Trump Welcomes the 2018 World Series Boston Red Socks" on the schedule. Fallon joked about the news, saying that Trump finally spelled something correctly and got it wrong, while Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked that it was better than when the White House hosted the "New England Party Hats." The White House recapped the event with a transcript and described the team as the "2018 World Cup Series Champions Boston Red Sox," prompting Jimmy Kimmel to joke that the Red Sox won a NASCAR, soccer and baseball championship in the White House's eyes.
