Play of the Day: Prop Comedy In Congress

Rep. Steve Cohen brought different chicken props to the House to mock Attorney General William Barr.

The 2019 Kentucky Derby will be run on Saturday with Game Winner as the favorite against 20 other horses. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the race, saying that the huge field and format is very similar to the 2020 Democratic presidential primary.

Attorney General William Barr refused to testify in the House on Thursday. Fallon joked that Barr was later found in a White House closet next to Melania Trump, while Late Late Show's James Corden joked that only the president can "skip work whenever you feel like it." Rep. Steve Cohen mocked Barr by bringing a chicken sculpture to the hearing in Barr's place and even ate from a bucket of KFC during the hearing. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked that Cohen was just hungry and was using the chicken as a prop, while Corden joked that a man eating fried chicken at a Congressional hearing is the stereotype the rest of the world has of the U.S. government.
