Play of the Day: The American Security Apparatus Is Running Smoothly

According to reports, President Donald Trump has bandied about a plan that would transfer detained immigrants to "sanctuary cities" either as a punishment for the Democratically-run cities or as an "olive branch" to Democrats. Saturday Night Live's Michael Che joked about the news, saying that more immigrants in a city like New York would just mean more Uber drivers and Times Square Elmos.

The Homeland Security Department and its component agencies are without many leaders. The top two DHS official jobs are empty, in addition to CBP and Secret Service. SNL's Colin Jost joked about the security apparatus, saying that our "at this point, our nation's security is just one of those Ring doorbell cameras."
