Play of the Day: Paul Manafort Gets Sentenced

President Donald Trump's former campaign manager will be in prison for a while.

Former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg announced this week that he will not be running for president in 2020. Conan O'Brien joked about the news, saying that America doesn't need another rich New Yorker with his name on everything.

President Donald Trump's campaign manager Paul Manafort was sentenced this week for 47 months for bank and tax fraud. Late Late Show's James Corden joked about the news on Thursday, saying that prison is going to be like a high school reunion for Trump campaign staffers. While Manafort was a first-time offender, the prosecutors documented decades of lawbreaking, prompting Late Show's Stephen Colbert to joke that Manafort "wasn't so much a first-time offender as a first-time getting caught-er."
