The government shutdown ended on Friday with a three-week deal, but White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said that President Donald Trump may still again shut down the government on Feb. 15. Mulvaney said Trump is "willing to do whatever it takes" to get border wall money, prompting LAte Show's Stephen Colbert to joke that the president might hold his breath "until he turns blue."
Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz told 60 Minutes that he is considering running for president in 2020, prompting a series of Starbucks jokes from late-night hosts. Conan O'Brien joked that Schultz's policy proposal will be a "wall around Dunkin Donuts," while Late Night's Seth Meyers joked that Schultz will run, "but first, he just has to find someone to keep an eye on his laptop." Colbert joked that America has had enough with billionaire candidates and that Richard Branson should "build a day camp for these guys to keep them off the street."
