Play of the Day: Meet Matt Whitaker

The new acting attorney general has an interesting history.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 85, fell in her office this week, breaking three ribs. Late Late Show's James Corden joked about the news, saying President Donald Trump ate "three McRibs" in a show of support.

Trump fired Attorney General Jeff Sessions this week and named Matt Whitaker to serve as acting AG. Late-night hosts had a field day with Whitaker's look with Corden saying he looks like a thumb, Late Night's Seth Meyers noting that he looks like the Punisher's nemesis Kingpin, Late Show's Stephen Colbert calling him "baby who grew up and is not happy about it," and Jimmy Kimmel said it looks like Trump "hired a bouncer on Monster.com." Colbert also noted that Whitaker was involved in a fraud scheme that was shut down by the government, saying that we're now hiring the attorney general by the Silence of the Lamb rules," while Corden highlighted an old Whitaker tweet ("Don't need to hijack Taco John's free wi fi any more.") and said "if you ever worked for a law firm that had to steal wifi from a taco place, maybe you shouldn't be the country's top law enforcement officer."
