Play of the Day: Trump Wants to Get to the Moon (and Maybe Mars)

The president lays out his plans for the U.S. space program

The Pentagon recently confirmed that it ran a program called the Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program for years that searched for alien life. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, saying that President Donald Trump is now going to announce plans for "a dome around the Earth and make E.T. pay for it."

Trump recently announced that he wants the United States to go back to the moon and potentially land humans on Mars. The Opposition's Jordan Klepper joked about the news, joking about Trump's experience looking at the sun during the summer eclipse. Klepper also noted that Trump did not provide funding or follow-up information on the mission, but photoshopped "Go moon now" scrawled onto one of Trump's signing ceremonies.
