With news that a bipartisan plan to limit the National Security Agency’s surveillance powers was proposed in Congress last week , The Daily Show ’s John Oliver took a new look at bipartisanship in DC. Looking at the partnership of Rep. Justin Amash, R-Mich., and Rep. John Conyers, D-Mich., Oliver compared them to a monkey and a pigeon being friends. Oliver also enumerated the main things on which House Speaker Rep. John Boehner, R-Ohio, and President Barack Obama can agree.

With news that NBC is planning a miniseries based on the life of Hillary Clinton , Late Night ’s Jimmy Fallon took the opportunity to joke about the former Secretary of State’s husband. Fallon mentioned that the series will star Diane Lane, then mentioned how much Bill Clinton would like to play himself (but only for certain scenes). He then wondered who would play the former president, asking his house band to audition for the part.

Fast forward to 4:35 to see the Roots audition for the part of the 42nd president.
