GovExec Daily: Federal Land Management During Trump's Term

Bloomberg Government's Kellie Lunney joins the show to discuss the outgoing president's public lands legacy.

As President Donald Trump’s final days in office approach, his record on land management and the environment is coming cleared into picture. Just this month, the Trump administration eliminated protection from more than three million acres of northern spotted owl habitat in the Pacific Northwest. Because of policies like these, Trump has been in the crosshairs of progressive and environmental groups, including the Sierra Club and the Center for American Progress, who called him “The Most Anti-Nature President in U.S. History.”

Kellie Lunney is a senior reporter at Bloomberg Government, where she covers energy and environment. She’s also a former GovExec reporter and editor. She joined the program to assess the Trump land management and environmental legacy.
