GovExec Daily: The State of the 2020 Census

This has not been an ordinary cycle for the Census Bureau. The count itself has been caught in legal trouble with states suing the Trump administration for its move to exclude undocumented people from the count and, previously, for an addition of a question that asks respondents for their citizenship status. Outside of the court fights, the Census Bureau is now facing down the pandemic, as door-to-door enumerators are equipped with PPE and trying to stay socially distant.
