GovExec Daily: The Protests and the Police

Route Fifty's Kate Queram and Emma Coleman join the program to talk about the ongoing nationwide demonstrations.

Protests are going on in communities across the nation, spurred by the death of a man killed by a police officer after the officer kneeled on his neck for nearly nine minutes. Local and national officials have participated in the protests, which have sometimes been escalated by police via pepper spray and use of force.

Route Fifty’s Kate Queram and Emma Coleman are covering the protests, police reform and the local involvement in these protests. They joined the show to talk about the state of the protests and where the police go from here.
