Washington-Area Agencies Open Under Two-Hour Delayed Arrival

Employees can also take unscheduled telework.

With ice coating the roads in much of the Washington, D.C. metro area Wednesday morning, the Office of Personnel Management announced that federal agencies would be open under a two-hour delayed arrival status.

The announcement means "non-emergency employees who report to the office will be granted excused absence (administrative leave) for up to two hours past their expected arrival time," OPM said.

Employees with telework arrangements in place can also take unscheduled telework for the day.
