Washington-Area Agencies Open Under Three-Hour Delay

Winter storm brings snow and ice.

Federal agencies in the Washington, D.C. area will open three hours late on Tuesday, the Office of Personnel Management announced early Tuesday morning.

Employees also will be eligible to take unscheduled leave or telework, as is now the standard practice under such situations.

Several inches of snow fell in the region on Monday, followed by ice and freezing rain.
