Internal Cybersecurity Strategies for a Remote Workforce

Many agencies have enlarged their network periphery for telework, but lack sufficient reinforcements to deter insider threats. Malicious actors who hack past the first — and sometimes only— line of defense obtain lateral access into networks, exposing agency data to potential alteration and ransom. To better understand how government is addressing these insider threats, Government Business Council (GBC) produced the following issue brief.
