DOD personnel agency warns of alleged scam

Personnel officials warned Defense Department civilian workers about a company that allegedly is using misleading ads related to the Federal Employees Health Benefit Program as part of a sales scam, Federal Times reports.

The Defense Civilian Personnel Advisory Service laid out details of the alleged scheme in an alert to DOD employees. The agency said the firm, which is not affiliated with the federal government, leverages fears about the Affordable Care Act to persuade employees to purchase its services.
