Burning Question: Are federal employees the envy of boyfriends and girlfriends everywhere?
Perception lingers that feds have it easy.
When private-sector workers get involved in relationships with federal employees, envy is often the result, the Washington Post reports today.
The reason: A perception that the feds have it easy, with flexible work schedules, numerous paid holidays, and jobs that are viewed as, well, just not that demanding.
On the flip side, the feds are often amazed at the lavish office parties and other perks showered upon their private-sector significant others.
For both government and private-sector workers, grass is greener on other side
