The Trump administration has often trumpeted that it has cut red tape in government, from a court fight with the state of California over vehicle emission standards to the removal of barriers for innovation on the coronavirus vaccine development. Recently, the administration produced a memo that the White House says will ease the regulatory burden on agencies.
