Government Accountability Office COO Kate Siggerud joins the podcast to explain her agency's role in keeping government honest.

The Government Accountability Office is often called the "congressional watchdog" and it is more accurately considered the main audit organization for the executive branch. Even during the pandemic, GAO releases reports on the efficacy of the whole of the federal government.

Kate Siggerud has been the Chief operating officer of GAO since 2017. She joined the podcast to explain GAO’s processes and talk about the ways it oversees government operations.
