Play of the Day: The President Rallies in New Mexico
Donald Trump tried to garner support with Hispanic voters in a state he lost in 2016 on Monday night.
Democratic 2020 contender Elizabeth Warren held a rally on Monday in New York's Washington Square Park that was packed with thousands of supporters. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that they cleared out the park by announcing that unpopular 2020 candidate and New York mayor Bill de Blasio was coming up next.
President Donald Trump held his own rally in New Mexico and mentioned how much he loves Hispanic Americans. At one point, he singled out Steve Cortes, a CNN contributor and Trump supporter, and asked Cortes “What do you like more, the country or the Hispanics?” The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked that the two things aren't even the same, joking that it was like "who do you like more, Pepsi or Mongolia?" while Late Late Show's James Corden joked that the question is the first one in job interviews for White House posts.
