The NCAA Men's basketball tournament begins this week, with single-elimination games played to crown a winner. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, saying that the Democratic Party is going to use that format to find a 2020 candidate to take on President Donald Trump.
Over the weekend, former Vice President Joe Biden may have accidentally confirmed that he is running for president in 2020. Fallon joked that Biden is the guy who says "are you excited for your surprise party?" while Late Late Show's James Corden joked that everyone will have to be surprised when Biden declares officially. Trump tweeted that Biden "got tongue tied" and called him "another low I.Q. individual." Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the tweet, referencing Trump's many problems with mispronouncing words and even put up a flyer for a 2020 contest between two septuagenarian with the title Presidential Debates 2020: Grandpa Slapfight.
