Play of the Day: The President Does Not Like Christmas Parties
There's a lot of handshaking to do.
The White House formally directed the creation of U.S. Space Command this week, reportedly as a step towards the Space Force. Late Late Show's James Corden joked about the news, saying President Donald Trump is already talking about "making Neptune great again.
According to a report on New York Magazine's site, Trump hates Christmas parties. One person close to the White House said Trump doesn't enjoy the soirees because Christmas is "not about him,” prompting Late Show's Stephen Colbert to joke that Trump would love to be Ebenezer Scrooge because watching a playback of his once and future life would pump up his ego. The report also said Trump hates the parties because he doesn't like standing in one place shaking hands for a long time, prompting The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon to joke that White House staffers will recycle guests, just to keep Trump off Twitter.
