Play of the Day: The President Talks Climate Change, Belief and Intelligence
"We’re not necessarily such believers," the president said about intelligent climate change skeptics.
Keeping with annual tradition, the White House lit its Christmas tree on Wednesday evening in Washington. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the news, saying that the occasion is the one time everyone isn't scared when President Donald Trump pushed a big button.
Trump gave an interview to The Washington Post this week on the heels of a White House climate change report in which Trump continues to contradict said report. In denying the science, the president said "One of the problems that a lot of people like myself — we have very high levels of intelligence, but we’re not necessarily such believers." Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked that most Americans don't believe he has a high level of intelligence, while The Daily Show put together a video that compared Trump's quotes to the hyperintelligent aliens in the film Arrival.
