Play of the Day: Let's Save The California Forest. Grab a Rake.

In California, President Donald Trump suggests wildfire prevention starts with forest floor maintenance.

President Donald Trump will pardon a turkey this week and before the pardoning ceremony, South Dakota turkeys Peas and Carrots are staying at the fancy Willard Intercontinental Hotel near the White House. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the accommodations, saying Trump told his wife "Look, Melania! They sleep in separate beds, too."

Trump traveled to Paradise, California over the weekend to survey the wildfire damage and called the town "Pleasure" before he was corrected by California officials. Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about Trump's error, saying "Pleasure is the dancer, Paradise is where she works." Trump also made the bizarre (and incorrect, according to the Finnish president) claim that Finnish officials told him that their forest maintenance includes "raking the floor" of the forest, prompting Colbert to joke that Finland's arctic climate prevents fires in the same way no one has a smoke detector in their freezers. Late Late Show's James Corden joked about the flub, saying Trump's next move will be to put sunscreen on all the trees and joked that his whole audience needs to leave and "grab a rake" to save the forests.
