Play of the Day: Designing The Space Force Logo
The Trump 2020 campaign had six suggestions, but late-night hosts have some more.
According to reports, First Lady Melania Trump's parents officially became American citizens this week. Late Night's Seth Meyers joked about the news, saying "they passed their citizenship test when they were asked 'Who's the president of the United States?' and they replied 'Our idiot son-in-law.'"
Vice President Mike Pence gave a speech at the Pentagon on Thursday introducing the Space Force plans to the Defense Department and late-night shows joked about it. The Daily Show's Trevor Noah and Jimmy Kimmel joked that only Pence could make a speech about space warfare boring, while The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that Pence probably started his speech with "I can't believe I have to do this." Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the Space Force, saying "wait until NASA finds live before you try to kill it," while Fallon joked that the chain of command will be "E.T., Yoda, then Groot."
The Trump 2020 campaign sent out an email with logos to donors containing six logos for the Space Force on Thursday. Kimmel joked that the logos look like those from Toy Story's Pizza Planet, while Colbert's staff created three new logos touching on collusion, Flint and Trump's hand size.
