President Donald Trump greeted recently released American prisoners from North Korea early Thursday morning after his administration secured their release. Conan O'Brien joked about the news, saying that Trump's wife is eyeing a similar release.
Reports said this week that Michael Cohen, one of Trump's lawyers, received money from corporations and a Vladimir Putin-connected Russian oligarch to a shell company that paid out adult film star Stormy Daniels. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked that Putin said "Donald can spend his allowance however he wants" in regards to the news. One of the corporations who paid Cohen noted that the money was for "insight" and "access" to the president, prompting Late Show's Stephen Colbert to note that Trump's an open book and ask for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
