Play of the Day: Trump Kept Pompeo's North Korea Meeting a Secret
It took a few weeks for the meeting to come out.
President Donald Trump is meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort, which Trump calls the "Southern White House." Conan O'Brien joked about the term, saying Trump calls the actual White House "The Western Kremlin."
Trump recently tweeted about the previously secret meeting that CIA chief and Secretary of State nominee Mike Pompeo had with North Korea's Kim Jong-un earlier this month. Jimmy Kimmel joked about the wording of Trump's tweet, asking if "he know North Korea is part of the world," while The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked about Kim's good friend Dennis Rodman's trips to the hermit kingdom. Late Show's Stephen Colbert noted Trump being able to keep the secret meeting under wraps, joking that Michael Cohen paid Trump $130,000 to keep quiet about the summit.
