The Education Department chief doesn't seem to know her role and responsibilities.
President Donald Trump spoke at a rally over the weekend in Pennsylvania in anticipation of Tuesday's special election. The Tonight Show's Jimmy Fallon joked about the rally taking place in Moon Township, saying Trump wondered why it looked so much like Earth.
Education Department Secretary Betsy DeVos appeared on 60 Minutes on Sunday and has since been roundly criticized for her answers to Lesley Stahl's questions about the role DeVos has played in education reform in her home state of Michigan. DeVos said she wasn't going to talk "in general" about schools, prompting Late Show's Stephen Colbert to joke that she runs the general Department of Education, not the "Department of Jennifer," while The Opposition's Jordan Klepper highlighted DeVos' statement during her confirmations about grizzly attacks at schools. Colbert and The Daily Show's Trevor Noah joked about DeVos saying she's never "intentionally" visited an underperforming school, with Noah joking that DeVos could make a fun remake of the 1995 Michelle Pfeiffer hit Dangerous Minds.
