Will it solve school shootings or just sell more guns?
Donald Trump Jr. was in India last week on business to sell Trump Organization real estate properties and was greeted by newspaper ads saying "Trump has arrived. Have you?" Last Week Tonight's John Oliver and Late Show's Stephen Colbert joked about the news, noting that Indians probably wishes they got to meet Ivanka.
Part of President Donald Trump's solution to school shootings involves arming school employees, including teachers. Trump said a school shooter "is going to be dead and it's going to be fast" when touting the plan, prompting Oliver to joke that such a phrase is an ad slogan for Carl's Jr. Oliver also noted that Trump's NRA-backed plan to arm teachers would sell over half a million more guns, joking that the NRA's solution to everything involves a gun… including climate change.
